"A salon is a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation. These gatherings often consciously followed Horace's definition of the aims of poetry, "either to please or to educate" (Latin: aut delectare aut prodesse)..."
Compassion 2.0 is a learning community of participants interested in exploring and implementing compassion-informed policies, procedures and practices in the places we live and work.
The salons are an extension of conversations from our podcast guests, and will be focused on the interactive and shared learning of the participants. Guest speakers will provide a short discussion around the topic of conversation, and participants will be broken into small groups to explore the topic, reporting back to the larger group with their discoveries. Work done will be memorialized for reference.
Shelly will be our first Thought Leader host for our first Salon.
We have asked her to help explore the practical ways in which we can bring compassion actions to our communities in this time of COVID.
If you would like to participate, and would like to submit a question or a topic for group review, please submit that here <link coming soon>.
